It's Friday and it's el scorchio! Happy Days!
I went on a run this morning and despite the fact it was a balmy 20 Degrees and 68% humidity, it was actually LUSH!
I took my time and paced myself using a music set on YouTube and just had a really good time. It got me thinking about the importance of observing the internal dialogue running through my mind to see if it was helpful or hindering - I made a video about it which you can see here.
With synaptic pruning being different in autistic brains meaning you can be processing up to 4 times the amount of information compared with a neurotypical brain - at REST - and with ADHD making it up to 4 times faster - that’s A LOT of information to be processing.
With that in mind, it really pays to weigh in and see if that information is backing you or against you.
It's been on my mind a fair bit with the run up to Plan. Shop. Prep: Food Planning Skills for AuDHD Entrepreneurs running from next Tuesday, just how much what your internal dialogue is can affect your relationship to just about everything in your experience.
It's worth taking the time to just observe what he most common things you say to yourself (perhaps without you even consciously knowing you're doing so), making note of them to journal or ponder on - how true is the statement and is there a belief that would be kinder?
